This was me during an intense headache that I later realized was actually a migraine caused by wayyyyy too much sleep, dehydration, and skipping meals (because I was asleep). I thought working out and going to breakfast would help but I felt so sick afterward that I just took an excedrin and sat in the dark for awhile. Anyway, I think my only inspiration to work out was the #thrifted work out bra and tennis I recently got. At first when I saw my perfectly normal roll in my favorite stance I was like, “oh no” but 🤷🏽‍♀️ we all have them! Also that’s my @makeuperaser that I use to take off my makeup now. Bye bye, wasteful makeup wipes. #thrift #travel #migraine

Today while sitting on my flight, waiting for the 3 hours 22 minutes and 3 seconds to draw closer to an end, I started finally thinking about 2018. As in my usual true fashion, it usually takes me a few days to sit back and reflect on a trip, moment, experience before I can feel ready to write about it. Eight days into the new year I realized this: I got freaking lucky in 2018. Sure, work didn’t send me anywhere new and that’s a difficult thing to admit. But I still got so lucky. I got 2018 New Years in Ruidoso with my family. I got Valentine’s Day in NYC. St. Patty’s day, my birthday, July 4th off in Houston. I got to see my older sister get married (and have a lake front bachelorette party!) We got to spend my dad’s birthday at the annual Aggie game. I celebrated all major holidays this year with my family and Kevin. Not to mention I traveled to New Zealand, Belize, and Iceland on my own time. I managed all of that. I, somehow, by some Grace of God and personal days managed to have a life while also having a job that takes me away from home. And sure, I complained the entire time (I’m working on it) but in the end, as I sit back and reflect on it, yeah, I got lucky to have all these amazing opportunities. I started 2019 by celebrating my one year anniversary with Kevin and now I’m back at work for the next two weeks. But it’s a game of give and take for now and I’ll give if it means that I’ll be there to move in with him at the end of the month. After that? Guess we’ll just see what 2019 has in store. Either way, I’m ready and truly excited. Also the flights went great- time for some shut eye. ❤️ #falife #travel #travelblogger
