Colorado on Film: Summer Trails

Wow, wow, wow! It has been a long time since I have posted anything on here!
Hi, friends! How are ya?
Before jumping back into writing in depth posts, I wanted to share a…hobby/passion/interest that I’ve been partaking in since moving to Colorado and that is shooting film! I’ve always dabbled in film photography; growing up I had a couple toy cameras that I would play with. One was purple and see-through: the Samsung Spectrum. The other allowed me to put fun filters in the frame. I specifically remember an alien background. Boy, I wish I could find those back in my childhood home.
Anyway, over the past two years I’ve grown a nice little collection from Goodwill and Facebook Marketplace. These photos were all taken on a Canon Rebel 2000– a well known and reliable SLR with both Kodak Ultramax 400 and Kodak Gold 200 in the Breckenridge, Colorado area. I even attempted a few double exposures and realized it is way harder to shoot them on film than digital! I definitely need to work on the framing of the second image. Learning new lessons with each roll of film developed.
Well, I hope you enjoy these film snippets of what I’ve been up to lately. I really hope to continue posting more often. Inspiration just hit me all of a sudden while working from home- let’s hope it does it again soon!

Cheers, friends!
Until next time!
